December can often prove to be a slightly quieter time of year, with the chance to catch up with work otherwise put on the backburner. This can often involve taking stock, putting into place new processes or other reorganisation. This year however the month proved challenging for many firms across the UK with staff levels lowered not only by the traditionally high number of people on holiday but also by those needing to isolate.
Despite finding himself running the Engineering Department for the last 2 weeks of December Tom found time to undertake other important work. This included a reinventory and reorganisation of the workshop disassembly stock. These are the parts taken from disassembled complete machines ready to go into the warehouse to be sold. This gave the sales team a much clearer picture of what inventory was available going into the new year.
Tom was rewarded with Amazon vouchers in recognition of his efforts in recent weeks.
