TLDR:

Tekeurope staff attended IFA 2025 in Berlin to scout products, trends and network across IT and consumer electronics. The fair featured 1,900+ exhibitors, 220,000+ visitors and wide industry diversity; AI and smart devices were prominent. The trip delivered market insights and new contacts. IFA 2026 is set for 4–8 September.

Staff from Tekeurope recently attended IFA 2025 in Berlin, going to the show for multiple reasons: to see new products and trends entering the market and to connect with peers across the computer spares and more general IT industry. Trade shows like IFA are a chance not only to see what’s coming, but to meet the people driving the industry and its newest innovations such as designers, manufacturers, retailers and to build relationships that can lead to new collaborations in the future.

IFA stands for “Internationale Funkausstellung”, although it is often promoted as “Innovation for All”. It’s one of the world’s largest and longest running trade fairs for consumer electronics, IT products and home appliances.

The show is held in early September, bringing retailers, manufacturers, media and business customers as well as tech enthusiasts to Messe Berlin. This year IFA ran from the 5th to the 9th, opening early for business customers on the Friday before general admission for the public at midday.

The 2025 edition of IFA  featured over 1900 exhibitors from 49 different countries. The event hosted over 220,000 visitors across its 190,000 square meters of exhibit space. There was a striking diversity of industries present at the event- from home appliance makers to robotics startups. Within the IT industry it featured parts and machine resellers as well as manufacturers covering gaming, networking and computer peripherals amongst other areas. Speakers at the event included decision makers from Acer and Microsoft.

Unsuprisingly one noticeable trend was the increasing adoption of AI. This included not only ambitious startup projects and robotics but also equally applied to everyday devices and appliances with a push to make them “smarter”.

As first time visitors IFA lived up to its billing as one of the worlds leading tech shows. It offered staff the chance to see upcoming and emerging products and gain insights into the trends and direction the wider industry is taking. In addition it allowed the company to make new contacts within the industry- potential new partners, suppliers and customers.

IFA 2026 is scheduled for 4-8th September next year with many large electronics firms already signed up to attend.
