Last week more staff from Tekeurope took time out from their normal duties in order to undertake their first aid training. The course took place on Wednesday 28th June in the company’s newly refurbished training room.

The course covered a wide range of topics, including dealing with an emergency and treating both burns and the symptoms of shock.  It also included how to help someone who had stopped breathing, both with and without an automated external defibrillator (AED).

Staff were selected for the course from across the company, covering the warehouse, the workshops and the office. This was to ensure first aiders are present everywhere on site even in the event of staff absences. Similar measures have been put in place to ensure adequate numbers of Fire Marshalls throughout the building.
