Members of Tekeurope’s team have recently taken part in heavy lifting training to ensure everyone is working safely in the warehouse.

First group: 11/06/21

Tekeurope is a continuously growing company, taking on more and more orders and always improving. To continue the company’s growth we signed up a few of our staff members from different departments for heavy lifting training. As the demand begins to grow we decided that it would be in our best interests to ensure our staff are flexible within their roles. Having the staff take the heavy lifting training means that they can help out with getting the days orders out safely and efficiently.

They started their training by attending a seminar in the morning showing a presentation of all the important information on heavy lifting within the workplace, whilst also learning more about the spine. After the presentation, all of the staff were then required to take part in a test base on the presentation they had seen. The training then ended with all of the member taking part in a practical learning session applying what they had learned throughout the day.

This also means that the staff members who have taken part have learned a new skill they wouldn’t have had the opportunity to get before. As some of the staff have come from engineering and accounts, but it also means they can use the skills they learned within their current roles. They also noted that what they learned within the training is important for everyday life too, explaining how we need to protect our spines with everything we do.

Second group: 30/06/21

Today another group of Tekeurope’s staff underwent the heavy lifting training going to the same seminars and practical learning sessions as the first group. This second comprised of one of our assistant salesmen and our engineering staff. It was just as important to have these staff members undergo the training as the engineers are often tearing down large parts such and printers and servers, so having this training will help them take care of themselves when handling heavy parts. It was also important for our sales assistant Joe Simpson to do the training as he is often selling parts that he has to procure himself off of our pallets, this way Joe can operate in the warehouse independently with the correct training.

All of the members of staff who had taken part in the training will be awarded a certificate for their efforts. We would also like to thank the staff who took part in the training as Tekeurope wouldn’t be able to grow without their hard work.
