With the festive season almost here it was once again time for the Tekeurope staff Christmas party.

Much like in 2021 it took place in nearby Torquay, with the meal itself being held at burger restaurant Meat 59. Whilst most staff are based locally we were joined by both staff and customers from further afield. People travelled from a variety of places including Suffolk, Aberystwyth, Manchester and even Spain in order to attend.

The meal taking place on Saturday the 11th at 7pm had been booked for months but results the previous Sunday at the World Cup meant a clash with England’s quarter final match with France. Being an IT company in these situations has its advantages and a solution was devised, with several tablets having Windows installed on them during the week. These were then put on the tables at the meal and tethered to mobile phones, allowing everyone who wanted to watch the game to do so.

After wings, onion rings and halloumi sticks to start everyone enjoyed a burger as their main course. There were of course also ample alcoholic refreshments including some quite interesting pickle and chilli shots.

Despite the freezing cold temperatures outside after the meal the group headed into Torquay to carry on the night in the town’s various pubs and clubs.
