49,000 computer components, 100s of stock locations and a very busy weekend helped along by plenty of takeaway food. The 24th and 25th of March saw the complete stock check of Tekeurope’s warehouse. 

The stock check was completed entirely by Tekeurope staff. 2 teams of people worked over consecutive days with members of staff from every department – Warehouse, Engineering, Sales and Finance coming in to lend a hand.

Because the stock check was carried out over the weekend the company was able to maintain its normal business hours in both the prior and following weeks ensuring zero disruption to our customers.

In order to avoid items that were shipped out on orders showing up incorrectly as missing the generation of the stock lists had to be left as late as possible on Friday. However everything was ready to go in time for the stock check to begin on Saturday morning.

It was a huge undertaking. Alongside the team members checking stock locations and recording whether items were present a few staff had the job of inputting this data onto our system and making any necessary changes to stock levels.

Food and drink was provided for everyone throughout the weekend. In addition to their regular overtime pay everyone involved was given an Amazon voucher to say thank you for their hard work in getting the stock check complete.
