September 2021 sees the 5 year anniversary of the appointment of Tekeurope Managing Director John Barrett. Starting back in 2016 he has overseen major changes within the business.
The early years of John’s tenure saw the apprentice program begin across the business with current full time employees in sales, engineering, accounts and warehouse initially entering the company this way. This rise in staff numbers coincided with the growth of the business and it’s corporate customer base both in the UK and internationally.
Having previously only rented buildings 2019 saw the company purchase its first premises, the move to which was completed in early 2020. In late 2020 Tekeurope launched a new website and an online webstore for the first time as well as expanding its presence on social media and other e-commerce platforms. The business has continued to grow through 2021 with record numbers of staff now employed.
In 2017 he introduced the annual team building exercises much enjoyed by staff. Although put on hold for the last few years due to Covid restrictions previously staff have undertaken coasteering, climbed Snowdon and taken a barge trip to Bath.
