2022 was another busy year at the company which saw new industry partnerships, further building improvements and the return of the summer team building activity. In this post we look back at 2022 at Tekeurope.

Industry partnerships and awards

The year got off to a good start with the exciting news that the company had been awarded HP Authorised Parts Reseller status in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) region. The partnership allows the company to offer the full range of certified genuine HP replacement parts to both new and existing customers.

During 2022 Tekeurope also became an Acer Synergy Authorised Partner, as well as joining the Zebra PartnerConnect program as a registered reseller.

In July staff attended the South Devon College Apprenticeship awards with the company receiving the runner up award in the Best Small Employer category. The night celebrates the apprentice program across the college with over 150 individuals and companies nominated in its 15 categories.

Staff Training and Milestones

A large number of staff at Tekeurope have been at the company long term and in 2022 some celebrated reaching the 5 year milestone. Staff in sales, finance and the warehouse reached this mark during the last year.

A number of training courses took place throughout the year, some safety based with others intended to provide staff with the knowledge and understanding to better perform their job roles. These included multiple first aid training courses including a more advanced 3 day version as well as training for staff involved in customs and import/export at the company.

Building Work and Improvements

Following on from the work that took place in 2021, last year saw yet more improvements to Tekeurope’s building in Newton Abbot.

In January the lighting in the warehouse was replaced with a more energy efficient LED setup. In addition to providing more light at lower energy consumption, the new system features motion sensors so lights are only on when required. This was followed up in February with the installation of electric car charging points at the front of the building.

The new meeting and training room was completed in April, featuring a large screen for video conferencing and presentations as well as network docking stations for when training is taking place.

Finally in September a CCTV camera system was installed around and outside the building, capable of recording in 4k.

Company Social Events

After postponement in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic last year finally saw the return of the company’s annual summer teambuilding activity. The event took place in Bristol, the first activity of the day being paintball. Staff and customers then went on to participate in multiple other activities including axe throwing, quad biking and crossbow shooting. The evening saw a meal at Bristol Curry House before a night out in the city centre.

During the year departments within the company enjoyed smaller teambuilding meals together. Rounding things off in December was the Tekeurope Christmas meal, which this year was held in Torquay restaurant Meat 59.
