Tekeurope’s workshop and warehouse staff came to work last week ready for a normal week of work. Work with social distancing and extra cleaning albeit but otherwise relatively normal. As it transpired the week turned out to be harder work than most.
With the Warehouse Supervisor and Engineering Manager away on annual leave 2 senior members of staff were then forced to isolate at home after one developed Coronavirus symptoms and the other had a family member do the same. Although in both cases their tests eventually came back negative it left both departments very short staffed.
It fell on the younger members of both teams to continue business as usual. Through their hard work and efficiency the company was able to fulfil all of its scheduled and new orders that week ensuring none of our customers were impacted by the unfortunate coincidental timing. Management and the sales team were extremely impressed by the effort put in by everyone.
The company believes in rewarding staff that go above and beyond and today with missing team members back and the workload slightly lessened the staff from both departments who were involved that week have been presented with Amazon vouchers as a thank you for all their hard work.
