Today is International Women’s Day, a global event that is celebrated each year on the 8th March as it is a focal point in the Women’s Rights movement. It brings attention to issues like reproductive rights, gender equality and abuse against women. Its also a day to celebrate the achievements of women around the world.
We here at Tekeurope would like to celebrate it by showing some appreciation to one of our longest standing members of staff, our Head of Finance Sue Whaites. Sue has been the Head of Finance at the company since 2016 and since day one has been instrumental in making Tekeurope what it is today. Sue also oversees the company’s HR processes.
Sue was essential in the company move from Totnes to Newton abbot, planning the move as well sorting out the company van and keeping the team on track and organised. Since its opening in 2021, Sue has also headed up Tekeurope Spain- the businesses’ presence within the EU.
These are just a few of the reasons that we would like to celebrate Sue on international women’s day. We would like to thank you again for all your hard work and everything you have put into the company.
